You are a creative, collaborative, solution-driven specifications writer with a strong commitment to quality. You are dedicated to supporting relevant design solutions for a broad range of market sectors from concept and research through implementation. You have a keen sense for balancing quality and budget and excel at taking a vision and turning it into reality. - Lead, author and edit all specifications for projects and coordinate compliance with all types of construction for project requirements
- Assist project teams with material selection
- Interpret the project design requirements and translate those into sustainable solutions
- Assist project teams with shop drawing and product substitution reviews
- Participate in internal initiative teams to develop best practice procedures
- Balance multiple projects and project deliverables simultaneous
Proven technical specification writing covering all aspects of a project’s phases including early schematic product selection, design development short form specification writing, project specific three-part specification contract documents written to the requirements of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), as well as construction administration specifications and product support.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent field
- Construction Specification Institute CDT certification required; CCS certification preferred
- 10+ years relevant experience in an architecture or interior design firm required and knowledge of reading and writing specifications
- SpecLink Cloud experience preferred
- Revit experience required
- LEED AP preferred and/ or knowledge of Sustainable Design construction and methods.
- Agile team player, strong communicator, and a self-starter
The estimated annual compensation for this role is anticipated to be between $100,000 - $120,000. Actual compensation for this role will be based on several factors, including experience level, skills, and qualifications.
