The Waterfront District

We were hired by the Port of Bellingham to organize a comprehensive framework of 12 strategic guidelines to help guide the redevelopment of approximately 250 acres of industrial waterfront property into an urban residential neighborhood and destination amenity.

An environmental Impact Statement (EIS) which included land use distribution, building density and height, and the composition of the site’s primary infrastructure network. A planned action ordinance was adopted to provide redevelopment flexibility for the project.

The project is now in the implementation stage.
