Lake Chelan Health Hospital (Interiors)
Chelan, WA

Lake Chelan Health’s hospital is a 52,500-square-foot critical access hospital that replaced the community’s existing facility originally built in the 1960s. The hospital was a result of a decade-long partnership between CollinsWoerman and the Chelan Public Hospital District. While this project was an opportunity to start with a clean slate, it came with significant budget and space constraints. Maintaining a viable rural critical access hospital requires tremendous efficiency and cost control focused on providing the highest value at the lowest cost.

CollinsWoerman worked closely with hospital leadership, imaging staff, and our General Contract to design a highly-efficient imaging department that blends seamlessly into the hospital flow, maximizes staff efficiency, maximizes every square foot of the department, and met the project budget.

The project utilized the GCCM model which ensured the pre-selected general contractor and primary subcontractors that the evolving program stayed within the strict budget established by the community-approved bond issue.
