Our design balances the client’s need for privacy and security, public space and secure areas for exhibit construction and staging, while also creating a visual and emotional connection to the contemporary popular culture vibe of the main EMP Museum building.
The small floorplate affords excellent efficiency for the environmentally controlled space, needed to preserve collectible art pieces. This design lends itself to an edge core which also provides an important privacy buffer between building program spaces and adjacent residences.
