This phase, currently under construction, will eventually house 48 med-surg beds, 10 LDRPs, an inpatient surgery, Lab and Pharmacy. The essential structure uses facilities as it can from the existing multi-specialty standards.
South King County is a rapidly growing community, and healthcare expansion has not kept up with the influx of younger residents. Nearly 40% of south King County residents currently leave the area to receive medical attention.
The transition to inpatient was designed in phases over the course of five years. This includes a freestanding Emergency Department and Hospital addition, designed to seamlessly integrate with the existing MOB, while allowing for continuous operation throughout.
