Upon acquiring Group Health Cooperative in 2017, leadership for Kaiser Permanente swiftly executed a plan to bring Group Health's widely dispersed employees together into one location, creating a single and unified administration team.
As employees enter any one of the campus buildings, they experience interior spaces designed for a thoughtful and collaborative work environment. The stairways were opened up to connect staff to centrally located hubs and informal meeting areas on each floor. Polished concrete floors and exposed structural elements in the ceilings lend to a more organic aesthetic. Skylights were also incorporated into the design to ensure regularly occupied spaces were flooded with natural light.
Today the growing team of 2,500 Kaiser Permanente employees thrive in a variety of workspace types, including unassigned offices, open workstations, individual touch down, open team huddle, den areas, multifunctional collaboration zones.
